Terms & Conditions

Effective date: December 30, 2025

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Mathify (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Mathify provides practice activities and learning materials similar to a digital workbook. It is not a school, tutoring service, or educational institution, and we do not guarantee outcomes.

Mathify is a Canada-based service offered under the brand name "Mathify" ("we", "us", or "our").

If you are using the Service on behalf of a child, you represent that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and that you consent to the child's use of the Service under your supervision.

Accounts & Eligibility

  • You are responsible for all activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • The Service is intended for use by families and educators; minors may only use the Service with parent/guardian involvement.

Subscriptions, Billing & Payments

  • Some features require a paid subscription. Prices and billing terms are shown at checkout.
  • Paid subscriptions generally renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • You can cancel at any time via your account settings (if available) or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals; you will retain access through the end of the then-current billing period unless stated otherwise at checkout.
  • Payments are processed by third-party payment processors (for example, Stripe). We do not store your full payment card number.
  • You authorize us (and our payment processor) to charge the payment method you provide for recurring fees, taxes, and applicable charges.

7-Day Refund Policy

If you are not satisfied with your initial purchase, you may request a refund within 7 days of the charge date by contacting support@mathify.com.

  • Refunds apply to the initial subscription purchase only.
  • Renewal payments are non-refundable, except where required by law.
  • After 7 days, the initial purchase is non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take time to appear depending on your bank/payment provider.
  • If you initiate a chargeback without contacting us first, we may suspend or terminate your account to protect against fraud.
  • This policy is in addition to any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in a way that violates any law or regulation.
  • Attempt to access, probe, or disrupt the Service or other users' accounts.
  • Reverse engineer, copy, resell, or exploit the Service except as expressly permitted by us.
  • Upload malware or attempt to circumvent security measures.

Content & Intellectual Property

  • The Service, including lessons, questions, explanations, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
  • You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Disclaimers

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the maximum extent permitted by law (including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement).
  • The Service is educational practice content only. It is not professional advice (including educational, medical, psychological, or legal advice), and you should not rely on it as such.
  • Any statements about improvement, outcomes, confidence, or mastery are aspirational; results vary by learner, routine, starting point, and consistency.
  • You are responsible for supervising your child's use of the Service and for deciding whether the Service is appropriate for your family.
  • Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or rely on third-party services (for example, authentication providers, hosting providers, and payment processors). Those third parties may have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for third-party services to the extent permitted by law.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or $50 if you have not paid us).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or used the Service in a way that could cause harm.

Governing Law & Venue (Canada)

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the laws of the province or territory in Canada where Mathify is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Except where prohibited by applicable law, you agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought in the courts located in that province or territory, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above indicates when these Terms were last updated. By continuing to use the Service after changes become effective, you agree to the updated Terms.
